Vintage silver is so pretty and I love tarnished, aged pieces. To me the imperfections are what give each piece character and a sense of history. They are one of the easiest items to come across at thrift shops, flea markets and antique shops and are relatively inexpensive.
A pretty way to display silver pieces is to group them together as a collection or to display one larger piece, creating a beautiful focal point.

Beautiful images Aimee. I love the look of the aged silver especially grouped together to create a vignette. xx

these are all so lovely. I love the tarnished patina as well.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things that I love so much about decorating is that you can make almost anything work. I love silver and will take it anyway...polished to a bright sheen is so beautiful but there is something haunting and mysterious about a good tarnished piece.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Aimee!! I love the grouping of the pretty silver pieces. I am honored to have been included along in your post.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!

I really love tarnished silver, too. When my Mom saw my tarnished silver in my hutch she mentioned that I should polish it and she looked at me funny when I said I like it tarnished, too :)
